About Us
BTG MENTORSHIP
a Word from our founder
I founded the Be That Girl and subsequently this program because of my experience in college and medical school. In retrospect, it was clear that I was clueless and adrift. By the grace of God, I am successful in life but after much heart break, mistakes and wasted time. I created this course to mentor college age women and young professional women by helping them find the right path in life and position themselves for success. Using foundational Christian principles, the BTG mentorship program is designed to build you into a balanced edifice
My vision is to encourage young women to enter a relationship with God and build young women, precept by precept from infancy to becoming well balanced , well rounded mature women of God. We hope mentees who enroll recreate the same spirit in their campuses and spheres of influence.

ABOUT BE THAT GIRL
The Be That Girl (BTG) organization is focused on the whole woman through the prism of Christ’s eyes.
We are open to all women from diverse backgrounds. That “girl” is the mental picture of the woman that God envisions our mentees to be.
Our target audience is college aged women and professional women between the ages 16 – 25.
Our core belief is that we are all on the journey to becoming the ideal woman and some women are further along the journey.
Our mentorship model is exposing mentees to women mentors that are further along in their journey by sharing their stories, wisdom, and guidance to empower mentees.
Our goal is to build well rounded women that are in authentic relationships with Christ and are relevant in their spheres of influence.
Our main expression to empower women to become “that girl” is our BTG believers’ mentorship foundational course.
Other expressions include our weekly newsletter, mentorship and coaching sessions, pre recorded videos, zoom meetings, Instagram live sessions and virtual or live conferences.
Mentorship is key
Imagine stepping into adulthood without anyone to guide you—this is the harsh reality for one out of every three young women today. Without mentorship, she is 2.5 times more likely to battle anxiety or depression, significantly decreasing her chances of achieving dreams like pursuing college, STEM careers, leadership roles, or entrepreneurial ambitions. The cost is steep: lost potential, diminished confidence, and dangerous detours that no résumé can repair.
No Mentors
1 in 3 young women aged 16–24 lacks any mentoring support.
Substance Abuse
Young women without mentors face drastically higher odds of substance abuse, teen pregnancy, social isolation, and dropping out of high school.
Low Self-esteem
Over 80% report significantly lower self-confidence and pervasive uncertainty about their futures.
Financial Errors
Young women without mentorship are twice as likely to face financial instability by their late twenties.
